The purpose/anti-purpose was to force, or trick people into thinking that Discordianism was created by the New World Order, which may, or may not, exist, or perhaps the answer lies somewhere in the middle. Regardless, this has been a success. The interwebs have been thuroughly infected, and stupid inbred rednecks across the world have been duped into believing that the banks are plotting to take over the world. This may or may not happen. It will happen to them. It could happen to you. It all depends on whether or not you believe it could happen.

The true plot of Operation Red Herring is to prove that Operation Red Herring never existed, and that it was all a white-wash attempt to make it look like the New World Order made up Discordianism, to give Discordians significantly more power over inbred rednecks than currently have, which is either extremely potent, or impotent, depending on your penial gland.

Operation Rainbow Herring will be commencing in January, 2010, when a high-class group of inbred rednecks, commonly known as over-paid executives, will be preparing to host the 2010 Olympics in Vancouver, British Columbia.

Operation Rainbow Herring will use the Olympics as a pro-performance enhancing drug platform by using photos of international athletes, and photoshopping their' faces onto fake newspaper headlines, reading "Olympic Gold Medalist tests positive for ...", replacing '...' with a random, made up drug-sounding word.

Operation Rainbow Herring will also use the Olympics as a platform to promote the ingestion of hot dogs, chinese food made with cats, and most importantly, "Golden Delicious Apples".
